Quartering in the wilderness in cabins with plank beds, towels and clean linen. There is a distance of 12 - 25 kilometers from Sveg to the various cabins (stugor). Take a look at the cabins

There are good opportunities for shopping in the near-by town of Sveg (population 4,000). You can take in supplies in the supermarkets and the town has a post office, lots of shops and an airfield with daily departures for Östersund, Malmø and Stockholm/Arlanda Airport.

To optimize the chances of game and minimize the risk of wounding we require that all hunters always sight in their own rifles. We want to secure a hunt as responsible as possible.

We provide you with a personal guide to the various hunting grounds, mandatory hunting permits, maps of the hunting grounds and advice, guidance and help during the hunt and in the care of the game.
We prefer that the hunting method gives the guest a sense of personal freedom. Isn’t that what it’s really all about? The sense of big freedom under responsibility. Get away from everyday stress whit a common responsibility that current principles are observed.

It is recommended, but not required, that hunters bring their own vehicle or rent one. There are various opportunities to rent vehicles at a reasonable price in Sveg.

The hunting grounds are situated deep in the wilderness, for which reason it’s also recommended that you bring compass, GPS and/or mobile telephone.

We have good hunting grounds where the hunting pressure is minimal, for which reason we can offer a big native population of bears.
We will be at your disposal during the hunt. We have a tracker dog available.

No trophy or kill fees. Harvest until the quota is used up.

We have several thousand hectares of good bear hunting. We have the densest bear population in Sweden.

On several of our hunting grounds there are bear lairs, which is promising for the next season. Hunting will usually be stand hunting or still hunting from our high seats. We have 25 high seats distributed over the best hunting grounds in the area.

There are 7 well equipped hunting cabins at disposal. The cabins are placed on the hunting grounds, which means there are bears close to the sleeping quarters.

The bear hunt starts on August 21 and ends on October 15 or when the quota is used up. (Observe females and cubs are protected).

The hunting quota for 2006 has not been published yet and we don’t expect it to be determined until the early summer.

Bears can be shot with bullets which weigh 9 grams (139 grains) or more. Bullets which weigh between 9 and 10 grams (139-154 grains) must have an impact energy of at least 2.700 joules 100 meters from the muzzle.10 grams (154 grains) or more must have an impact energy of at least 2.000 joules at 100 meters from the muzzle.

Bears can be hunted from one hour before sunrise until two hours before sunset (The law takes into account the tracking of a wounded bear).
Hunting methods: Stand hunting, still hunting or driving.

There is no minimum number of hunters required but maximum 8 hunters per hunting party and maximum 3 hunting parties per day.
Because of these limitations reservation and deposit is required three months in advance of bear hunts. The balance must be paid on your arrival.

Example: No trophy or kill fees. Harvest until the quota is used up.

4 nights and 3 days hunt is € 420 per hunter (extra hunting days € 140 a day). Expenses for veterinarian (mandatory) is about € 100 per bear.
Mandatory Swedish hunting permit (€ 27 and valid for one year (July 1 to June 31)) is not included.

Half the price is paid as deposit June 1 or as arranged. The balance is paid on your arrival.

The hunting method can be adapted to the individual hunter’s need and physique. The carcass of the bear goes to the owners of hunting rights and the trophy goes to the hunter without extra costs.
